The waterfall reaches 50ft high and is situated at Glencar Lough. It creates a truly magical atmosphere. A short, picturesque wooded walk offers varied viewing platforms to enjoy the waterfall. There are more waterfalls visible from the road to Glencar, although none are quite as romantic as this one.
Entry to the site is free and there is a car park, picnic area, public toilets, children’s playground and a Tourist Information point. This site is wheelchair friendly.
The TeaSHED Café, with views overlooking Glencar Lake serves a wonderful selection of homemade foods and the 7km Glencar Hill Walk starts from the carpark.
